On Thursday, May 11, 2024, 50 Information Systems students Universitas Airlangga (Unair) from class of 2021, 2022, and 2023 had the opportunity to visit the Apple Developer Academy located at Universitas Ciputra Surabaya. The purpose of this visit was to provide the students with insights and knowledge about the world of iOS application development and career opportunities in this field.

The event began with two informative sessions. The first session was presented by Ari Kurniawan, S.IP., M.Ds., Design Learning Facilitator & DRI Design at Apple Developer Academy @ UC, titled “Why We Do What We Do with Our Phones: An Introduction to Design for Non-Designers.” In this session, the students were introduced to the design principles underlying the development of user-friendly and engaging iOS applications.

The second session was led by Andi Setiawan Abadi, S.Kom., M.M., CHRA., Operational Manager at Apple Developer Academy @ UC, titled “Get a Headstart on your Career with Apple Developer Academy @ UC.” In this session, the students received information about the internship programs offered by the Apple Developer Academy, as well as tips and tricks for building a successful career in the iOS application development industry.

After the material sessions, the students had the opportunity to participate in the Apple Academy Tour. During the tour, they were shown various facilities available at the Apple Developer Academy, such as classrooms, computer labs, and co-working spaces. This visit provided valuable experience for the students to get a closer look at the world of iOS application development and career opportunities in this field.
